Villa Orchidea - Bagni di Lucca – Ref. Nr. 221

This enchanting private Villa with swimming pool dates back to the early 19th century and stands close to the centre of Bagni di Lucca, a charming village in Garfagnana, renowned from the 13th century for the extraordinary curative properties of its thermal waters. The thermal establishments are just 1 kilometer from the villa so that they are easily reacheable with a short walk. 

The villa (4 double bedrooms + double sofa bed and 4 bathrooms) has been recently renovated and furnished with good taste and elegance in 18th and 19th century style. It is a three-storey building of about 300 m² and it consists of a fully equipped kitchen, two living rooms (one with fireplace and one with HD satellite TV and double sofa bed), dining room, veranda, sauna, room with whirlpool  bathtub, two double-bedded rooms and two twin-bedded rooms. Each bedroom provides an ensuite bathroom. The bathrooms are tiled in marble; two are with shower and bathtub and two with shower only.

The building is surrounded by a wide garden furnished with tables for eating al fresco; In the garden there is a private and panoramic swimming pool (10x5 meters) along with a solarium area furnished with sun loungers and umbrellas. The villa features also a loggia equipped with barbecue equipment. A sauna and a comfortable whirlpool bathtub are also provided inside the house.

Among a wide choice of activities available in the villa's surrounding we can surely highlight the following: hikes and bike or horseback rides, visit to the nearby Grotta del Vento (Wind Cave) in Fornovolasco, and taste the specialities of Garfagnana cuisine on the occasion of the many feasts and festivals that take place during summer. Lucca, Pisa, Versilia, Pistoia, Florence and other Tuscan cities of art are easily reacheable by car.
