Villa I Cipressi – Ref. Nr. 153

Villa I Cipressi is an old country Villa located just 7 Km from Arezzo and very close to the river Arno.

The manor-house comprises:

a 3-storey building recently restored (inside and outside)

an arch-shaped structure connected to the building 

a tinaia (a place where in the past wine was stored in barrels). 

The manor-house is surrounded by two courtyards, a vineyard and a long cypresses path which leads to the main entrance.

GROUND FLOOR 

-Entrance hall with barrel-vaulted ceiling 

-Double Bedroom with vaulted ceiling and stone capitals, crimson and ochre colors, English chest of drawers and bedside tables aged 1700, wardrobe and writing desk.

-Living-room with cameo pink walls, paintings with fruit subjects, stone fireplace, double sofa bed, 2 ‘Frau’ armchairs, a ‘credenza’ aged 1600 and a writing desk.

-Huge dining room  with furniture aged 1400: dining table made of pietra serena, fireplace, sofa 

-Cozy kitchen with stone basin, oven, cooking stove, refrigerator, dish-washer, washing-machine and kitchen equipment. 

FIRST FLOOR 

-Stone staircase, cellar, store-room; recently renovated bathroom with bathtub.

ARCH-SHAPED STRUCTURE (second floor)

-Double bedroom with pale blue cup-shaped ceiling , double bed made of painted beaten iron, wardrobe, “fratina” style writing desk aged 1600, relax area with brand new armchairs, old brocade curtains and pelmets.

-Cozy room with “trompe l’oeil” decorations aged 1700, single bed, chest of drawers and round writing desk.

-Scenographic bathroom with 4 symmetrical windows, cast iron bath tub placed in the middle of the room, brand new sanitary fittings, built-in wardrobe with hand-made decorations

THIRD FLOOR

-Huge living room with decorated walls and 3 big windows, curtains and pelmets , huge dining table covered with red brocade, iron chandelier, 2 empire style sofas along the walls, wall bookcase, old grand piano.

-Pale blue living room with fireplace, round table with intarsia, empire-style mirror and chest of drawers, glass-fronted sideboard and cupboard with porcelain pottery.

-Tiny bathroom and ante-bathroom

-Double Bedroom: double bed, chest of drawers, writing desk, bedside tables, throne chairs.

-Twin bedroom with old-aged curtains and pelmets, two single beds, chest of drawers, tuscan style table, built-in wardrobe.
